Flanagan is the author of Glossary of Unsaid Terms, winner of Beloit Poetry Journal's 2020 Chapbook Prize. A former Poetry Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, their work has been awarded an Academy of American Poets Prize, and a Palette Poetry Emerging Poets Prize. Originally from western North Carolina, they work in tech and teach creative writing at the University of Chicago.
