Marianne Chan
is the author of two poetry collections: Leaving Biddle City (Sarabande, 2024) and All Heathens (Sarabande, 2020). She has been awarded the GLCA New Writers Award in Poetry, the Ohioana Book Award in Poetry, and the Association for Asian American Studies Book Award for Outstanding Achievement, and her poems have appeared in Poetry Magazine, New England Review, Kenyon Review, and elsewhere. Raised in Stuttgart, Germany, and Lansing, Michigan, she currently teaches at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Lisa Low
is the author of the full-length poetry collection Replica (University of Wisconsin Press, 2026) and the chapbook Crown for the Girl Inside (YesYes Books, 2023). She is the recipient of a 2023 Pushcart Prize, and her writing has appeared in American Poetry Review, Ecotone, Poetry Magazine, The Southern Review, Gulf Coast, and elsewhere. Originally from Maryland, she lives in Chicago.
Gazmend Kapllani
is an Albanian-born author, journalist, and scholar. He is the author of four novels—A Short Border Handbook, My Name is Europe, The Last Page, and Wrongland—widely translated from the original Greek and Albanian. His work focuses on borders, totalitarianism, migration, and identity. He has been a fellow at the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard and a writer-in-residence at Brown, and he currently chairs the Department of Albanian Studies at DePaul.
Eniko Deptuch Vaghy
is a writer, artist, and editor based in Chicago and nurturing ties in upstate New York. Her poems have appeared in Poets.org, Stone Circle Review, Luna Luna, and elsewhere, and she is the founding editor of the literary and arts journal Lover’s Eye Press. She holds a PhD from the University of Illinois Chicago, where she currently works as a visiting lecturer.
Alyx Chandler
is the author of the poetry chapbook Hollering Spell (Finishing Line Press, 2025), with a second chapbook forthcoming in 2027. Her poems have appeared in Southeast Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, The McNeese Review, and elsewhere. She is a former journalist and current Poet-in-Residence at the Chicago Poetry Center.
