Peter Orner

is the author of eight books of fiction and nonfiction, most recently The Gossip Columnist’s Daughter (Little, Brown & Co., 2025), Still No Word from You (Catapult, 2022), and Maggie Brown & Others (Little, Brown& Co., 2019). He is also the editor of three oral history collections in the McSweeney’s Voice of Witness Series. He has been awarded the Pushcart Prize, the American Academy in Rome Prize, the Guggenheim Award, the Lannan Foundation Literary Award, and the Fulbright Award, among others. Born in Chicago and raised in Highland Park, he currently teaches at Dartmouth College.

Marianne Chan

is the author of two poetry collections: Leaving Biddle City (Sarabande, 2024) and All Heathens (Sarabande, 2020). She has been awarded the GLCA New Writers Award in Poetry, the Ohioana Book Award in Poetry, and the Association for Asian American Studies Book Award for Outstanding Achievement, and her poems have appeared in Poetry Magazine, New England Review, Kenyon Review, and elsewhere. Raised in Stuttgart, Germany, and Lansing, Michigan, she currently teaches at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Eniko Deptuch Vaghy

is a writer, artist, and editor based in Chicago and nurturing ties in upstate New York. Her poems have appeared in Poets.org, Stone Circle Review, Luna Luna, and elsewhere, and she is the founding editor of the literary and arts journal Lover’s Eye Press. She holds a PhD from the University of Illinois Chicago, where she currently works as a visiting lecturer.

Jeffrey Wolf

is the author of the forthcoming story collection And Even This (Cornerstone Press, 2028). His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Conjunctions, Prairie Schooner, The Common, The Florida Review, and elsewhere. He has received a Special Mention from the Pushcart Prize and residencies in Iceland, Finland, and Sweden. He teaches Creative Writing at the University of Chicago.

Alyx Chandler

is the author of the poetry chapbook Hollering Spell (Finishing Line Press, 2025), with a second chapbook forthcoming in 2027. Her poems have appeared in Southeast Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, The McNeese Review, and elsewhere. She is a former journalist and current Poet-in-Residence at the Chicago Poetry Center.
