He is also the recipient of an NEA Fellowship, the Wallace Stegner Fellowship, and a Fulbright Grant, and his writing has appeared in The Nation, The New Republic, The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, The Paris Review, and elsewhere. He currently teaches English at Northwestern.
