… is the author of two poetry collections: Trace Evidence (Tin House, 2023), which is a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award and was longlisted for the National Book Award, and Into Each Room We Enter Without Knowing (SIU Press, 2017), which was a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award. He is also the recipient of an NEA Fellowship, the Wallace Stegner Fellowship, and a Fulbright Grant, and his writing has appeared in The Nation, The New Republic, The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, The Paris Review, and elsewhere. He currently teaches English at Northwestern.
Elizabeth Metzger
… is the author of two poetry collections: Lying In (Milkweed Editions, 2023) and The Spirit Papers (Univ. of Massachusetts Press, 2017), as well as two chapbooks: The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death and Bed. Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Poetry Magazine, The Nation, and elsewhere. She lives in Los Angeles, where she is a poetry editor at Los Angeles Review of Books.
Brian Tierney
… is the author of Rise and Float (Milkweed Editions, 2022), winner of the Jake Adam York Prize. He was a Wallace Stegner Fellow and a Narrative Magazine “30 Below 30” honoree, and his writing has appeared in the Paris Review, Kenyon Review, AGNI, New England Review, and elsewhere. Raised in Philadelphia, he currently lives in Oakland and teaches at The Writing Salon.
